Worksite Assessment
Worksite Assessment evaluates an employee’s job demands and work environment to ensure safe return-to-work or accommodation following injury or illness. Conducted by an occupational therapist or vocational specialist, the assessment includes a visit to the job site, task analysis, and collaboration with the employer.

The evaluator examines physical tasks (lifting, standing, sitting, repetitive motions, etc.), ergonomic risks, environmental conditions, and accessibility. A report is generated outlining job modifications, assistive equipment needs, and a return-to-work plan.
When is a Worksite Assessment needed?
This assessment is essential for patients who:
-
Are recovering from workplace or motor vehicle accidents,
-
Experience physical limitations that impact job performance,
-
Require accommodations due to chronic pain or disability,
-
Are transitioning back to work after surgery or extended leave,
-
Need a customized return-to-work plan supported by medical evidence.
