Optometric Assessment
Optometric Assessment is a general eye examination conducted by an optometrist. It assesses vision clarity, eye alignment, focusing ability, and overall eye health. The assessment may include a review of medical history, vision testing, refraction to determine prescription needs, and screening for eye diseases.

The optometrist may also assess the impact of visual issues on daily functioning and recommend corrective lenses or visual aids as needed.
When is an Optometric Assessment needed?
This assessment is appropriate for individuals who:
-
Have experienced changes in vision after a traumatic event,
-
Report headaches, eye strain, or difficulty reading or driving,
-
Need updated eyeglasses or contact lenses,
-
Require vision screening as part of a broader injury or rehabilitation evaluation,
-
Are recovering from neurological injuries that may impact vision.
