Concussion Assessment
Concussion Assessment is a comprehensive evaluation used to diagnose and monitor the effects of a mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). This assessment is typically conducted by a multidisciplinary team that may include a neurologist, neuropsychologist, or specialized rehabilitation professionals.

The assessment includes medical history review, cognitive testing, balance and coordination screening, symptom tracking, and imaging studies. It also evaluates how the concussion affects daily function, mood, memory, and attention.
When is a Concussion Assessment needed?
This assessment is crucial for individuals who:
-
Have suffered a blow to the head during an MVA, fall, or sports injury,
-
Experience symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, nausea, confusion, or memory loss,
-
Have difficulty returning to work, school, or daily routines post-injury,
-
Are suspected to have post-concussion syndrome (PCS).
